Learn how to prevent calls from ending when you press the Sleep/Wake button on an iPhone with iOS 16.

When you press the sleep/wake button while receiving a call, the iPhone will end that call. This makes it easy to stop your iPhone from ringing when you can’t answer a call. But it also can be easy to end a call when you’d like to answer it, just by pressing in the Sleep/Wake button.

In iOS 16, Apple introduced the option to prevent the Sleep/Wake button from ending an incoming call. This is locations in Settings → Accessibility → Touch and toggle on the option labeled “Prevent Lock to End Call”.

See how to prevent the Sleep/Wake button from ending calls in this video for iOS 16.
