You can now translate text live on the iPhone with iOS 16! All you need to to is point your camera at the text you’d like to translate, and with a couple of taps, your iPhone will translate it for you live. See how to translate text using the iPhone’s camera in this video for iOS 16.

In this video, we’re going to look at how we can use the camera app to help us translate signs on the iPhone. This was introduced with iOS 16. Let’s go over to my iPhone. Now what I have here on my computer is a sign written in Spanish, I do not know how to read Spanish. So what I’d like to do is I’d like to translate this. Well, now with iOS 16, all I have to do is just point my camera at it.

So I’m going to open up my camera here, and I’m going to point it at the sign, you’re going to see that it is not in English, I cannot read this. So what I would like to do is translate this. Well now all I need to do is just go down to the bottom here where you’re going to see these three lines, the bottom right corner, I tap on it. And then what I’m able to do is translate it, tap on translate. And the iPhone will go and translate it for us. So that’s basically all we have to do to translate signs. Now.

We just point our camera at whatever we want to translate, and then we tap on the lower right hand corner in our display. And then over to the left. We have translate, tap on translate, the iPhone will translate it for us. So we now have live translations with the camera on the iPhone. So that’s how we can translate text or translate signs with the iPhone on iOS 16 By just using the iPhones camera
