Move the Cursor on the iPhone

In this video, we’re going to look at the different ways we can move our cursor around on the iPhone. Let’s go to my iPhone.

Let’s open up my Notes app. I’m looking at this note here. I want to place cursor here, I need to edit this note. So I want to do is place my cursor in this note. To place the cursor where you want, all you have to do is just tap where you want the cursor. So let’s say I wanted to place it in front of the word windows here. I just tap with my finger and it places is the cursor there. You may have to tap twice.

Now. I want to move that cursor. Maybe I want to move it in front of the word stacked here. How do I move that cursor?

Well, one way is to tap and hold on it. So I’m going to go back over to my cursor here. I tap and hold on it, you can see it gets a little bit larger. And now what I’m able to do is move it around. I’m just dragging my finger around. So let’s put it in front of stacked here, and now it is in front of the word stacked. I want to move it in front of mission control again, I just tap and hold on it, and I place it in front of mission control.

Now, another way of moving the cursor is by tapping and holding on the keyboard here. When I tap and hold on it, you’re going to see that the keys disappear. I tap and hold, the keys disappear. But now watch this cursor here. I’m moving my finger around. I’m moving it around on the keyboard. I’m able to move that cursor. So again, we just tap and hold anywhere on the keyboard, the keys disappear, and now I’m able to move this cursor around.

So those are the different ways we can move our cursor around on the iPhone. We can tap and hold within the text itself and just drag our finger around or what we can do is tap and hold on the keyboard and then drag our finger around.
