Introduction

Keeping your iPad organized starts with managing your apps. Over time, it’s easy for apps to spread across multiple screens, making it harder to find what you need. Fortunately, the iPad includes simple tools that let you move apps, group them into folders, and remove apps you no longer use. With a little cleanup, your Home Screen can become easier to navigate and much more efficient.

Move a Single App

Moving a single app is useful when you want to reorganize your Home Screen or place an app closer to others you use often. By touching and holding an app icon, you can drag it to a new location on the same screen or move it to a different Home Screen page. This makes it easy to create a layout that feels natural and matches how you use your iPad.

Move Multiple Apps

If you’re reorganizing several apps at once, moving them one by one can be time-consuming. The iPad allows you to select multiple apps and move them together. This is especially helpful when you want to reorganize an entire screen or move a group of related apps to a new page. Moving apps in batches can dramatically speed up the cleanup process.

Move Apps into Folders

Folders help reduce clutter by grouping related apps together in one place. You can create folders for categories like productivity, entertainment, or travel. Once apps are in folders, your Home Screen becomes less crowded, and finding what you need becomes quicker. Folders are especially helpful if you prefer fewer Home Screen pages.

Remove an App

Removing apps you no longer use is one of the best ways to keep your iPad tidy. When you remove an app, you can choose whether to delete it completely or simply remove it from the Home Screen while keeping it in the App Library. This flexibility lets you clean up your Home Screen without losing access to apps you may want later.

Wrap Up

Organizing apps on your iPad doesn’t require a lot of effort, but it can make a big difference in daily use. By moving apps, grouping them into folders, and removing those you no longer need, you can create a cleaner, more intuitive Home Screen. A well-organized iPad is easier to use, faster to navigate, and far more enjoyable overall.
