Use large Icons on the iPad’s Home Screen

Did you know you could increase the size of the App icons on an iPad’s Home Screen? When you do this, the App icons will become larger, making them easier to see and tap on, while keeping the same amount of apps on the Home Screen. Seee how to make the app icons larger in this video for the iPad.

Video TranscriptIn this video, we’re going to look at how it can make our app icons larger on the iPadOS home screen. Let’s go to my iPad. So I’m looking at my iPad here, and if we look at these icons, I’m going to move my cursor over top of one of these icons, we’re going to move over top of my numbers icon. You’re going to see that the icon fills right within the circle.

Also in between my app icons, we have quite a bit of space. If we look at that circle or my Cursoris, we can see, we have a little bit of space in between the icons. Well, what we can do is we can make these app icons larger, which thereby reduces that space. So it makes the app icons easier to see, and it makes them easier to tell.

And also what it doesn’t do is reduce the number of app icons on the home screen. So we still have the same number of app icons on the home screen. So it’s not going to readjust everything. So how do we do this? Well, all we need to do is just go over to our settings app. When we select our settings app, what we need to do is go over to our home screen and dock.

When I selected this, the first option we have here. Use large app icons. All I need to do is just turn on this slider here. And when I do, it’s going to make those app icons larger. It’s not going to restart the iPad. All it’s going to do. When we go back over to the home screen is make the app icons larger.

It also doesn’t make any of the texts larger. It doesn’t really touch anything else. All it does is make the app icons larger. So now let’s turn this on and go over to our home. You’re going to see that these icons now are larger. That numbers icon here is actually going outside of my circle. And when we go over in between there, you can see that the space in between the icons has been reduced.

So let’s go and turn this off and take another look at it. So I just go back over to my settings. We go and turn this off. I swipe up. We can see that there’s. Let’s go back over to settings. I turned this back on. We can see that they’re larger. So that’s all you have to do to make your app icons larger on the iPad.

Again, it doesn’t touch anything else that doesn’t make the text larger. Doesn’t. Does it make any other changes aside from making your app icons larger makes the app icons easier to see and it makes them easier to tell. All you have to do is just go over to your settings app and then go to your home screen settings.

The first option you’re going to see is making your app icons lodger, just tap on the slider to turn it on. And then when you go back over to your home screen, your app icons will be larger. So that’s how you can make your app icons larger on the iPad.
