Edit Multiple Reminders
Learn how to select and edit multiple reminders at the same time in the Reminders app on the iPhone.
Apple introduced the ability to select and edit multiple reminders at the same time with iOS 14. Now you can schedule multiple reminders at once, move multiple reminders to a different list, delete multiple reminders, as well as mark them as complete and flag them. In this video, we’re going to look at how we can edit multiple reminders at the same time in the Reminders app on the iPhone. This feature was added with iOS 14. Let’s see how we can edit multiple reminders in the Reminders app. Let’s go to my iPhone.
Let’s go and open up my Reminders app. Now let’s take a look at my shopping reminders list. So I have my shopping list here. This is for running. Now that it’s getting darker earlier, what I would like to do is I would like to flag a few of these because I want to make sure that I have these when I go out running. So I need to purchase running lights, batteries, and reflectors. I do not need to get new shoes.
Now in the past, if I wanted to flag these, I would have to flag them individually. Well, now what I can do is I can select all of these and flag these. I can schedule these. I can move them to another list. How do we do that? Well, we just go up to the more button here, and then you’re going to see Select Reminders. Now over to the left of my reminders, I’m able to select which reminders I want to edit. So what I want to do is I want to edit running lights, batteries, and reflectors. So now I just go over to these three dots here, and I select them. And now down at the bottom, you’re going to see we have a strip of icons. This is how I edit these items.
I can schedule them; it’s going to schedule these three items. I tap on the calendar here, and I can set a date to remind me to purchase these. So let’s go with tomorrow. I can also set a time, and if I want to repeat these reminders, I can also repeat them. I’m just going to leave it for tomorrow here. I tap on Apply, and now we can see those items are due tomorrow, but my shoes are not due tomorrow.
Let’s go and see what else we can do. I go back under more, and I go over to Select Reminders. I select them again, and from here, I can change them to another list, tap on this, and I can move them to another list. I’m going to cancel here. I can also delete them. And then, if I tap on the More button in the lower right-hand corner, I can also Mark them as Complete and Flag them. So let’s go and flag these. And now we can see all three of them are flagged.
So that’s how we can edit multiple reminders at the same time in the Reminders app. All we have to do is just go up to edit in the upper right-hand corner when we’re looking at our reminders. Tap on Select Reminders and then select the reminders we want to edit. Once we do that, down at the bottom, you’re able to schedule your selected reminders; you can move them to another list, delete them, and flag them and mark them as complete.
So that’s how we edit multiple reminders in the Reminders app on the iPhone.
