In this video, we’re going to look at how we can reorganize our smart lists in Reminders on the iPad. This is a new feature that was introduced with iPadOS 14. Let’s go to my iPad. So I’m in my reminders app. And if you’re not familiar with smart lists, if we go to the upper left-hand corner, you’re going to see, I have these lists here. These are smart lists. I can see my scheduled reminders. I can see my reminders that are due today. I can see my flagged reminders as well as any reminders that are assigned to me. These are smart lists. What I can do the Smart list now with iPadOS 14 is I can organize these. In other words, what I can do is I can move them around or even hide them to do that.
What we do is we go up to edit in the upper left-hand corner here, and then you’re going to see, we have checkmarks to the left of each one of these smart lists to hide any one of them. All I have to do is uncheck it. Let’s say that I use reminders because I don’t use flagged reminders, so I no longer need to see this flagged smart list. All I have to do is uncheck it. And now, when I tap on done. I no longer see that smart list.
I can also reorganize these. You’re going to see we have a Smart list called All, which includes all of my reminders. I’d like to see that up at the top here, where Today is. To reorganize these, we go back up to edit again, and then over on the right side, we have these three horizontal lines to the right of each reminder list. All I do is drag them around to reorder them. So I’m going to take All here, and I take these three lines to the right. I drag it up. And then when I tap on done, we can see we have all at the top.
So that’s how we organize our smart list in the reminders app on the iPad. All we have to do is go to edit in the upper right-hand corner, above all of our different lists, tap on that and uncheck any smart list we no longer want to see, as well as drag them around to reorganize them.
So that’s how we organize our smart lists in the reminders app.
