Apple Watch could get more hands-free tilt controls in future watchOS update

The Apple Watch could include more gestures similar to Raise to Speak in the future, after the revelation Apple has explored the possibility of producing more hands-free ways to interact with wearable devices and other hardware.

Apple introduced Raise to Speak as part of a raft of updates in watchOS 5 back in 2018. The gesture, where the user raises their wrist up and prepares to speak to the Apple Watch, is automatically treated as an intention to issue a command to Siri, all without saying the “Hey, Siri” prompt beforehand.The gesture is useful for more than dismissing the need for a verbal prompt, however, as it is a way of interacting with the Apple Watch without needing to use both hands.
