Create Reminders from Lists

In this video, we’re going to look at how it can now create reminders directly from our reminders lists, when we’re reviewing all of our lists in the Reminders app. This was introduced with iOS 14. Let’s see how this works. Let’s go to my iPhone.

Let’s go and open up my Reminders app. So I’m looking at all of my different lists here. In past versions of iOS, if you wanted to create a reminder for any one of these, what you needed to do is open up that list. So if I wanted to create a reminder for shopping, I would have to open up this list and then create the reminder. Well, we no longer have to do that. If we look down towards the bottom, you’re going to see ‘New Reminder.’ All I need to do to add a new reminder is just tap on this; I type in the name of my reminder, as well as any details for it. And then down at the bottom here, you’re going to see Reminders. This is where I can select which list I want it to go in. So let’s say I wanted to add a new reminder for shopping. I would tap on shopping, and it’ll add that reminder to my shopping list.

So I no longer need to open up these individual lists to add a reminder. All I need to do is just go down to ‘New Reminder,’ tap on it and then select which list I want that reminder to be in.

So that’s how we can now add new reminders directly from our view of all of our different lists for reminders on the iPhone.
