Single-Column List View
Learn how to view your records in a Tap Forms 5 form in a single-column list view.
By default, Tap Forms 5 shows your records from a form in the Single-column list view. This is a simple view that shows your records in a list on the left, with the details of the selected record on the right. Take a quick look at the Single-column list view in this video for Tap forms 5 on the Mac.
Video Transcript (video also has closed captions):
In this video, we’re going to be taking a look at the single column list view we have with Tap Forms 5 on the Mac. Let’s go to my Mac.
Now, by default, when you’re looking at a form, I’m looking at a form here called My Albums. This keeps track of all of the different albums that are purchased. By default, when you’re looking at a form, it’s going to show you this in a single column view. What is this? Well, basically the single column view organizes your records by displaying them one by one in a list. If we look over on the left here, you can see we have a list. I select any one of them, let’s go to this album here, and now I can see the details of that album. This is the single column view. Again, it is on by default. But if we go up to a tool bar, you’re going to see we do have an icon for it. If you’re looking at a different view, let’s say you’re looking at a multi column view, I’ll talk about this in the next video, but let’s say you’re looking at this view here. If you want to go back to your single column view, all you have to do is just click on this, and you’re back at your single column view.
So that’s our single column view. Basically with a single column view, Tap Forms 5 is going to organize all your records by displaying them one by one in a list view. Click on any one of the records and to the right of that list of that column, you can view the details of that record.
