Hosting Video Calls with Zoom
Learn how host video calls with Zoom on your Mac and iPhone
Wouldn’t it be great if everyone we wanted to have a video call with was on an Apple device? FaceTime is hard to beat for this scenario, but not everyone we know are on our favorite devices. What do you do then? One option is to use Zoom. Zoom offers video conferencing between all major platforms, and they have a free version.
In this video, I show you how you can host a video call with Zoom. It’s pretty simple. You go to their website (zoom.us), sign up for a free account, download and install the software. Once you have it downloaded, open it up and sign in. From there you create a new meeting and send a link to everyone that you want to have on your call. Your guests do not have to have an account to join in the video call.
Note: There has been some controversy on Zoom’s privacy policy and implementation. If you want to read more about this, take a look at Fast Company’s article on Zoom.
