Learn how to open a tab you’ve recently closed in Safari on the iPhone.

Did you know you could open a recently closed webpage in Safari on the iPhone? Just view your tabs, or open web pages, and instead of tapping on the + to open a new web page, long press on it, a menu will pop up, and you’ll be able to select and open a web page that you’ve recent’y closed. See how to open recently closed tabs or web pages in this video for Safari on the iPhone.

Video TranscriptIn this video, I’m going to show you how you can open recently closed tabs in Safari on the iPhone. Let’s go to my iPhone.

I am in Safari here, and if I wanted to open up a new tab, a new browser window, all I need to do is just tap on the two squares here. When I tap on the two squares, what I’m able to do is open up a new tab.

But let’s say I wanted to open up a recently closed tab. One that I had open earlier and now I want to reopen it. How do I do that? Well instead of just tapping on this plus here to open up a new blank webpage, all you have to do is just tap and hold on this or long press on it, and then you’re going to see all of your recently closed tabs. From here what I’m able to do is just tap on any one of these to open it up. So I want to go to Apple. I just tap on Apple here and it opens up that page in a new tab.

I go back over to my tabs here and I can see that page. I want to open up another tab that I recently opened. I just go down to the plus here, tap and hold or long press, and I can view all of my recently closed tabs.

So that’s how you can open recently closed tabs in Safari on the iPhone. All you have to do is just go to all of your tabs, just tap on the tab icon in the lower right-hand corner. When you do that, instead of just tapping on the plus, long press on it. And then from there, you’re going to see all of your recently closed tabs. Tap on any one of those links to open up that webpage again.

So that’s how you can open recently closed tabs in Safari on the iPhone.
