In this video, I’m going to show you how you can force quit multiple apps on the iPad. Basically we can force quit multiple apps at the same time. Let’s see how we do this. Let’s go to my iPad.
Now, let’s say I was having a problem with a few different apps. What I would like to do is close them. Well, the way that we do that, the way that we force quit apps, is we swipe up from the very bottom here. And then we can see all of our different apps. As you most likely know the way that we force quit these apps is we just swipe up from the bottom of the app. We want to force quit. So I can swipe up on the Files app here, and it force quits it. I swipe up on Notes, it force quits it..
But also what we can do is swipe up on more than one at a time. So I just take two fingers. Let’s go with Mail, and then also Safari. So I just take two fingers and watch what happens when I swipe up, it’s going to force quit both of those. Let’s force quit all four of these, I take four fingers and I swipe up, and now we can see I am force quitting all four of those apps.
Now this is not something that I usually recommend for quitting. A lot of people will do this to save battery life. It really doesn’t help out in battery life. And in fact, what it can do is make your battery not last as long, because when you have to open up that app again, it’s going to use more battery power. So it’s really not a good idea to force quit apps, unless you’re having a problem with the app. You don’t really want to do it just to save battery life. But if you do have a problem with an app or you want to force quit multiple apps, you can force quit multiple apps at the same time. Again, all you have to do is just go to where all of your apps are shown, all of your open apps are shown. And then with multiple fingers, just swipe up on multiple apps and those apps will be forced quit.
So that’s how you can force quit multiple apps on the iPad.
