Best iPad deals: Save money on the 9th & 10th gen iPad (10.9-inch/10.2-inch models)
The standard 10.2-inch iPad is still the cheapest iPad Apple sells, but there is now a new iPad with a 10.9-inch display that costs a bit more. If you’re looking to pick up a deal and save money on either the 2021 iPad (9th gen) or the 2022 iPad (10th gen), then you’ve come to the right place.
You can find great deals if you know where to look – and that’s where we step in! We’ve checked all the best places to pick up the iPad at the best price for you, so you can get a bargain. One thing to note if you are shopping outside of the U.S.–Apple has increased the price of the 9th-generation iPad! The main reason we mention this is it might make the discounts on the older iPad look better than they are – which is why we quote the price it was as well as what it is sold for now.

Best 9th & 10th gen iPad deals right now
Deals on the 10th gen iPad are few, but there are resellers cutting the price of the older 9th gen model.
U.S. resellers
10th gen iPad:
- Amazon has the 2022 256GB WiFi iPad for $596.50 which is $2.50 off – a small saving, but a saving.
9th gen iPad:
- Amazon has the $329 64GB iPad for $298 ($31 off).
- The $609 model is also discounted at Amazon – get it for $579.
U.K. resellers
10th gen iPad:
- Laptops Direct has £12 off the price of the 10.9in iPad! Get it for £486.97.
- KRCS has the same entry-level 10.9iPad for £489.02.
- Laptops Direct also has £16 off the price of the 10.9in iPad with 256GB! Get it for £662.97.
- Laptops Direct is also discounting the 10.9in iPad with 64GB and cellular! Get it for £659.97 (£19 off).
- And Laptops Direct has the 256GB cellular 10.9in iPad for £839.97 (£19 off)
9th gen iPad:
- Amazon and Currys have money off the entry-level 9th gen iPad (which was £319, but is now £369): get it for £299.
- You can also get the the 256GB WiFi iPad (was £459, now £549) for £424.99 from Amazon, Currys, and John Lewis.
- Amazon has a discount for the 64GB Cellular 2021 iPad that used to cost £439 (but is now £519 at Apple): get it for £405.
- Amazon also has the 256GB cellular model for £565.60 (it was £579, but is now £699).

The 10th generation iPad, with it’s 10.9-inch display, launched in October 2022 so we aren’t seeing many discounts yet, but as they appear you will see them populate the best prices tables below.

Below are the best iPad 9th gen prices we have seen for a variety of retailers. Since this iPad has been on sale since 2021 there are more in the way of deals, but since it’s already Apple’s cheapest iPad the discounts don’t tend to be as big as you might see on other iPads.

Now that the 10th generation iPad is here we may see resellers dropping prices for the cheaper model – but keep in mind that Apple has increased U.K. prices, so those discounts may look better than they really are.

In 2021 the 9th gen iPad suffered from stock shortages, so half the challenge was finding a retailer that has one in stock. Hopefully this won’t also be the case with the 10th gen iPad, but if it is you might find one at one of these major retailers:

Best refurbished iPad deals
The deals you will see above are generally from Apple resellers rather than Apple itself – Apple very rarely drops the prices. Apple does, however, sell reconditioned iPads in its refurbished store. So you might be able to grab a bargain.
The iPads in Apple’s refurbished store may be ex-display stock, or they may have been returned to Apple due to a fault, but they are fully reconditioned now and come with a full year’s warranty. It’s not like buying secondhand.
